Volunteer of the Year
Tommy Rawls of Hillsborough County was recognized as the 2017 DBIA Florida Region Volunteer of the Year.
Tommy has served as the co-chair of the Gulf Coast Chapter for two years. During that time, the chapter has seen tremendous growth. As a strong advocate for design-build, Tommy is always willing to share his knowledge with other owners. He can be counted on to speak at design-build programs and to talk one-on-one with those looking to start a design-build program. Thank you Tommy for always be willing to step up and help out!
Chapter of the Year
Congratulations to the Gulf Coast Chapter!
This Chapter has continued to do an excellent job. With Tommy Rawls as the outgoing chair and Scott Sutek of Intertek-PSI, as the incoming chair, this chapter has continued to grow. The chapter held several programs in 2017, including the very popular Owners Forum. They consistently have strong attendance at their programs. The Chapter Steering Committee meets regularly and has made a concerted effort to grow membership. In fact, half of the new members joining in 2017 are from the Gulf Coast Chapter area!
