DBIA Designation

DBIA is a mark of distinction for design-build professionals who demonstrate their commitment to the profession. In order to qualify for this designation and earn the right to display “DBIA” after their names, individuals must successfully complete the requirements of the Designated Design-Build Professional ^TM designation program, which includes quantifiable experience and/or education in the design-build process.

Individuals, who do not currently meet the “experience requirement” of DBIA’s Designated Design Build Professional ^TM program, may earn a "Certificate of Mastery." It is a way to demonstrate a well-rounded educational mastery of the essential concepts and principles of design-build project delivery. For many, it will be the first step towards achieving full designation once additional experience has been gained in design-build project delivery.
